Charette is a small innovative HS that takes pride in a strong, caring school culture, high standards and expectations, and effective use of blended learning. We have an immediate opening for a long-term substitute teacher for ELA for students in grades 11 and 12.. Charette uses a blended learning teaching model. Students using an online platform, combined with direct classroom instruction, engage in project-based learning, have access to high quality curriculum materials and are provided with the tools to become self-directed learners. In addition to direct instruction, all teachers have the opportunity to mentor a small group of students, providing support in their efforts to earn a high school diploma and plan for college and career. We are in search of a dynamic teacher who is looking to become a member of a strong collaborative team that is shaping the future of a relatively new charter school. We are seeking an educator who shares the background and cultural experiences of diverse urban youth and can contribute in a relevant and meaningful way to the development or student ELA proficiencies.
